Definition: Joy.
Chara does not describe happiness or gladness. It speaks of biblical joy. The joy that comes from God, not because our circumstances are perfect but because of our hope in Christ's life and death, and Gods promise for all of humanity.
We pray this will be a day where we come to an understanding that we can have joy at every stage of our lives. On the mountain and the valley in the wilderness and the promise land. God's joy for His children never leaves because His presence is infused with the fragrance of His joy.
Through painting as an act of worship, we pray this will be an opportunity to understand the joy of the Lord and the power of His presence. With this gift of art, we give God freedom to move in a new way and communicate with us intimately. We let Him speak something new into our lives. And lastly we learn the art of letting go and trusting our creator to create on our canvas.
It’s time to encounter the love of God and the fullness of His joy.
